How Deepshield™ Concrete Sealer Works

Deepshield™ penetrating impregnating sealer uses advanced nano-technology to form a long-lasting, invisible barrier inside the pores of the concrete – not on top of it.

  • The active molecules are engineered to penetrate deeply into the concrete’s capillaries.
  • One end of each molecule chemically bonds within the mineral structure of the concrete.

Pre-Sealing Preparation (Important Before Using Any Concrete Sealer)

  • 1. Clean thoroughly
    Ensure the concrete is clean and dry and looks exactly how you want it to look once sealed. Stains that remain in the concrete before sealing may be impossible to remove afterwards.

  • 2. Remove existing coatings
    Deepshield™ must be applied to bare, absorbent concrete. Wax, paint, acrylic, epoxy and other topical sealers must be fully removed before applying a penetrating sealer .

  • 3. Always test first
    Perform a small test patch in an inconspicuous area at least 24 hours before sealing the whole surface. Check for appearance, absorption and water repellence.

  • 4. Colour enhancement test (if applicable)
    When using Deepshield™ Colour Enhancing Penetrating Sealer, make sure the test area has produced the level of colour enhancement you want before proceeding.

    Do's:
  • Clean spills as quickly as possible
  • Use mats at external doorways to reduce dirt and grit
  • Use a microfibre mop and a pH-neutral cleaner for regular cleaning
